Walking and Thinking

In the top of a chokecherry bush this gorgeous bird............
.........and this is a lilac tree of our friend Ben who died.  I'm probably the only one who remembers him and his wife (Vivian, who is also gone) moving it because they were adding on a room and they didn't want to loose the lilac.  Isn't it a pretty shaped bush?
Feral poppies in the field across the creek.
Fledging day for the little blackbird.  It's hard to not like any baby, even blackbirds.
....and where there's birds, there's cats.          The things you think about when you walk and your thoughts wander.                          Diane

I like your wandering thoughts Diane.
I haven't seen a chokecherry bush for years. We used to pick chokecherries every year and my mum would make wine - more like a cordial actually.

I missed those Poppies when I was out walking the other day. I guess I had better go see what I can find too!

Thanks for taking me along on your walk. I don't get out much anymore because of the heat. HA! Plus, we don't have scenes like that around here. Tomorrow is my last day of school and then 2 months off. happy day! Best wishes, Tammy
