Reflective Garden

Please come with me, take a deep breath and soak up some beauty and peace.  About 8 years ago Whitney Commons was built here in our town. It lies in the middle between the YMCA, the Senior Center and the library.  Besides having walking paths, a playground, an amphitheatre and a water park there is a Reflective Garden, my favorite.  The garden is about 6 years old and the different plants are really coming into their own now.  Right now the peonies are beautiful.
In the background is an old cabin, it's the first building ever built in our valley.

These peonies were incredible, my picture doesn't show them to their full advantage but if you blow it up I think you can see what I mean.
There's also a beautiful labyrinth - Rascal and I like to walk on it and "find ourselves".
It really is a peaceful, beautiful spot in which to find a quiet thinking place and it's only about 6 blocks from our house.                  Diane

Each of us needs one or two places that give us sanctuary or respite or just feed up with peace. This garden must be such a gift to you, being so close to home.

Hello Diane, I had was just looking at some lovely replies to my blog and I followed my instinct and found yours! I've just been writing about a party for naming a favourite rose, so it must be serendipity! Best wishes, Jane

These reallly are beautiful, especially that lovely pink one accented with the purple flowers behind it. And the third with the surprise .... it really is a surprise. What beautiful ruffles. It's nice that you have such a peaceful place to go to. Do you and Rascal walk down there?
