I Can Count on Lilacs

Remember the little child who came to you with a grubby little paw full of dandelions?  I can count on lilacs.  Several times while the lilacs are blooming my husband breaks off a sprig and hands it to me.  They're usually short but they're absolutely gorgeous and smell wonderful.   Whether or not I get flowers other times of the year I can always count on lilacs.

Me too!!! Mama and Grandma had huge lilac bushes by their kitchen doors. Now guess what I discovered today just down the way......little, short LILAC bushes about three feet high, in bloom!! I am blessed indeed! Love ya'...Rosalie

We gave our mom dandelions, our kids gave them to me, and now my nieces and nephews. And each time is just as priceless. Right now, when the breeze is right, the scent of lilacs fills the air around our house, courtesy of the neighbors 2 doors down.
How precious of Len to give you such a sweet gift. Isn't love grand?

I will take a guess here. Those Lilacs probably mean more to you than a dozen store bought roses. Thanks for sharing this glimpse into your life.

I hope my bush finally blooms this year.

Hi Diane, I love Lilacs also. They are so pretty and smell heavenly. I'd rather have them than a handful of Dandelions any day!!!!! ha ha

Hugs,
Betsy
