Tongue River Reservoir

The sky was overcast so these pictures aren't very bright.  Nonetheless I wanted to share our little trip today with you.  This is looking from the east end of the reservoir back toward Sheridan and the Bighorns.
We saw many Canadian Geese.  I think they have the most beautiful coloring.  They also look like they're bow legged.  Just a beautiful bird.
We stopped and I walked to the side of the road and took several pictures of this Pronghorn Antelope.  He seemed quite unconcerned by my presence.
And this is very blurry, I took it from a long distance but I was trying to see what kind of duck it was, there were several flocks in the same place.  I believe it might be Common Mergansers but I'll leave the identification to my bird expert friends on here.   It was just fun to get out and get away from the winter doldrums for a while.                             Diane

Getting out is always enjoyable.I enjoyed the scenes you shared.I think many of those ducks may be Common Goldeneye.Of course I am no expert,so i could be wrong.
