Mountains on My Mind

I'm really missing the mountains these days.  Although they lay west of us and I can see them from our house if it wasn't for the trees I'm really wanting to spend a day there.

I consider myself very fortunate, now that I'm retired and I can stay out of the rat race but these days life is heavy on us - you feel it, too, probably.

In the mountains I almost feel like that's another world, a world free from all the things that weigh us down here in the flat lands.  The air is pure in the mountains and full of the aroma of pine and sagebrush.  They beckon but right now there's too much snow up there.  But after the 15th of June the hills will be covered with lupine and sunflowers and I'm going to be there.                   Diane

That's why we were in the mountains all last week... I LOVE 'em too!!!!!! YOUR mountains are much larger than ours. If I lived near the Bighorns, I'd want to visit there OFTEN (well--maybe not in winter)... ha

Hugs,
Betsy
Love your picture!!!!

I hope you get on up there as soon as it's safe. You're lucky to have a place that calls you and gives you the peace and the space and the lightness you crave right now. Soon....

Yes, fresh clean air, the call of nature. We had all of that and more, mountains too, when we were in Sri Lanka. We are on Spring Break and over the past several days, we have had blue skies and sunshine, dust and wind, and now thunder and a splash of rain. I don't mind being cooped up inside when I can craft the day away in my pajamas. :) Have a terrific Tuesday. Tammy

It sounds so wonderful. I can believe how much you want to be there. It takes such a long time to warm up in your part of the country, but the summers are worth it.

I enjoyed your last comment[s] on my blog. It made me laugh to see you posted three times. But, you're right..life is heavy on us lately. Has been for awhile. I hope God blesses you in yours. Have a really nice day.
