A Day in Buffalo

A trip to see Mother at the care center today and I always have to capture some pictures of some of my favorite places in the town where we grew up.

This impressive home stands on Main Street.  Needless to say, it's one of a kind.  It was always a mysterious place to me and very intriguing - I'd love to go inside.   It was built by Count Frederick Thorne-Rider and I can't tell you too much more about it, I believe it was given to the Catholic Church.  I don't know if they still own it or it's a private home.  In my heart I hope it's a private home and some very sweet and maybe slightly eccentric live there.  Look at that front door, isn't it beautiful?     Diane

Hi Diane, hope you haven't had anymore computer problems. Yesterday our internet was so slow. We kept resetting over and over to no avail. HOpefully things are a bit better today. Love those green goblets you bought. My mom used to collect the red variety. These lovely old homes surely have stories to tell. You always hope if they aren't lived in, that the State could take them and turn them into a show place or museum, something to be shared with its citizens. So sad when they are just allowed to sit in disrepair. Hope things are warming up for you. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
