Love Birds

Our yard was full of birds today - nuthatches, juncos, chickadees, flickers - and in the middle of all the noise and feeding frenzy, these two sat right above the feeders oblivious to anything but each other.

Later they flew up into the tree behind the garage where they spend a lot
of time.  They're inseparable, it's heartbreakingly beautiful.

I think Doves are perhaps the most 'affectionate' birds. They act so gently towards each other.

Hi Diane,
I think if I had a favorite bird it would have to be doves. But don't let the other birds read this!
I'm looking out the window right now at the starlings stripping the crab apples from the trees. They seem very hungry today. I'm sure this new snow has them saying 'darn, I thought it might be Spring soon'
