Brave Little Flower

The snow and ice has just started to go off of the new flower bed I made last year.  I was startled today to see these little pansies, not only green, but with little buds on them.  They have to be the bravest little flowers!

Hi Diane, Yes---Pansies are great little winter plants... They will live through ice and snow... What will 'get' them though are many days of extremely cold temps and FROST....

But--if snow covers them, they are fine... Amazing, aren't they?

Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy

When I lived in Michigan, I loved how the flowers just poked right through the snow ready to bloom! Amazing!!

Aren't they just the best? They thrive on neglect all summer and then reward us with blooms in the winter (at least here, they do!)

They are so hearty aren't they? How lovely of them to bloom for you in the cold. :c)
