Commons

Yesterday afternoon Rascal and I walked at the Commons.  We're so fortunate in this town to have such a place.  It's about 5 years old and when it was finished it connects the YMCA, Senior Center, two senior housing complexes and the library.  It's a great place for all ages.

The statue above is on the Commons, it's almost life sized of a cowboy on his horse.  He has scooped up water from the creek and is drinking out of his hat.  It's called Cool Water.
My favorite part is the Reflective Garden.  It was closed for the evening yesterday.  It has roses and many different kinds of unusual flowers, a labyrinth, and a fountain and is just a lovely place to spend a little quiet time.

Thanks for sharing the Commons with us.

I know I'd be spending time there myself Diane, especially in the garden. How tranquil.
