Oh, My Stars!!!!

In the middle of the night I woke up and as I walked through the house it was so bright outside!  I checked to make sure I hadn't left the porch lights or the yard light on.  Then I looked out the window.  The stars!  I never saw so many stars, it was beautiful!!!  The entire sky was awash with stars, it looked like somebody had gone mad with the glitter bottle.  Oh, how I wish I'd thrown my coat on and went outside, but it was cold and all I could think was to go back to bed.                         Diane

My youngest son is into astronomy --and he loves to take his telescope and go up into the mountains and find a clear place --and watch the stars/sky.... George and I walk out on the golf course fairway sometimes to see the night sky... SO gorgeous!!!!!

Thanks for sharing a beautiful picture.

Your joy is infectious! I want to go right outside to look at the sky. When we lived in Germany, in an industrial area our son we studying the stars in school. The Great Dane had to drive him up into the hills to see the stars, as one couldn't see the sky at night for the smog - such a shame, but it really made up appreciate out clear night skies at home.

A star filled sky is a beautiful sight. As one song writer puts it,'there are holes in the floor of heaven'.I know that is not exactly accurate, but I like the idea.

Because we live on the edge of a small city, the stars are always dulled by the orange glow of the street lights. When we go camping, I am always awestruck by the brightness, and apparent closeness,of the stars.

I truly love the stars at night. We have so much light pollution that it's hard to see as many as we would like. Your writing is nice enough to publish. Makes me feel good.
