Sometimes You Just Enjoy The Show

It occurred to me recently that some pictures just don't need to be taken.  Sometimes you might as well forget the camera and just enjoy the show.  This morning was like that.  A couple chickadees were playing in the back yard.  When I got the camera out they were much too fast, as you can see by the pictures.  I caught the picture above (but not too well) as they played around one of the birdhouses, flitted here and there in the zinnias, even tortured me by landing on the old latch of the chicken house.

They were having so much fun and putting on such a show that the camera just got in the way.

I agree, sometimes it is best to get the pictures printed on the mind,at least that way they turn out looking great.
I am glad these birds took the time to entertain you, sounds like fun.

You need one of those super duper cameras for such quick shots. Mine has a sports mode for action but I never can seem to get it to work right. And my zoom isn't so good. Your pictures turned out great. But yes, you can get lost in the moment, or you can torture yourself trying to get a great picture. I've done that before. My uncle spent forever trying to get hummingbird photos one time in North Carolina. Those hummers are way too fast for any dinky old camera. He still talks about that. Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday. :) Tammy

I love watching the birds as well. Thanks for the great shots. Seems that you and Betsy both had the same idea this morning!

Aren't chickadees the cutest birds ever! We have them at our house, too. My husband feeds the birds, and I watch. I've got the easy job. Happy day to you!

Love those chickadees--adorable as can be! We see them out back of our house, too. My husband feeds them. I watch. Simple for me!
