Sweet Peas

Clutching and grabbing at everything they can get their tendrils on, their beauty so exquisite that it almost breaks your heart.  Sweet peas are such old fashioned flowers, they remind us of our grandmothers and lace and fans and ice cubes and pretty glass vases.                      Diane

I love Sweet Peas, Diane. They are SO pretty.... My mother grew alot of flowers ---but the one I remember her for is Zinnias.. She grew some beautiful Zinnias.

Isn't it neat that we can associate flowers with loved ones from our past?????

Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy

One of my all time favorites Diane. I don't think anything smells as yummy. They remind me of an old woman that lived down the alley from us when I was a child...come to think about it...she probably was about my age. LOL! She had them everywhere and I was so enchanted by them. Growing them takes me right back to 410 Avenue H, in Boise, Idaho...where I grew up.

Pretty, pretty! I feel the same way about seeing Morning Glory in bloom winding its way up a fence.

I love sweet peas Diane, we used to have them growing wild on our property, til Ken turned the field into more lawn. I do miss them, I'll have to grow some.

This takes me way back..Mama had sweet peas and they smelled so sweet. I really need to do some planting. Is it too late now? It gets sooo hot down here in the desert.
