Full Bloom

Remember a few weeks ago I posted a picture of one little rose that was the first to show color on this bush?  Look at it now, it's just exploding.  I'm unsure of the name of this one.  It was given to me as a tiny start by Kevin who knew his gardening - and his roses.  Every year I wonder if it will be as pretty as last and every year it's just bigger and fuller.        Diane

How perfectly beautiful Diane, I love how it goes down the whole fence. It reminds me of my Aunts gardens, magnificent!

Not sure how I arrived at your blog - you know how one link leads to the next! Glad I found you though - your roses are stunning & I see you like sweet peas too...mine are just starting to bloom. Also enjoyed your Alaskan entries. Our son lives north of Anchorage & we are headed up there later this summer. It will be our 3rd trip & each one gets better! Our mission this trip is to safely deliver a special young lady to our son - she also fell in love with the 49th State & is moving there permanently.
You have a lovely blog and I plan to visit again.

That's the sort of rose that defines the word. Does it have perfume?

What a beauty this rosebush is Diane! It is gorgeous hanging over your fence. If you are like me (and I know that you are) this sight brings you so much joy every time you take it all in.
Have a wonderful day in your lovely place today!

Hello Diane,
I love this photo, the fence makes it perfect. When I was growing up, my mother always called them "wild roses". They are very thorny and like to "bite" you and they only bloom once a year, but very profusely. I have some in my front yard that do that. They went wild after my mom passed away and her grandchildren pruned her roses. They were not overly skilled with that job. A friend told me that the plant retrogresses back to wild to protect itself then if it gets frosted. But I don't know what you call them....pretty!!
