Even Bigger Than I Thought

I've always known that there was the possibility that the computer and blogging had the potential of taking too much time out of my "real life".  I don't think I'm alone on this, unless we're highly disciplined (and good for you if you are) we can spend hours drifting from blog to blog, keeping up with the lives of people, knowing their dogs names, their children's names, what they're making, reading, doing.  But until yesterday when I checked in on the eaglet, Phoenix, as I had every day for the last 76, did I  know how personally involved I could get with a little creature many miles away in a tree high above an island in British Columbia.  After I opened up the web cam and discovered the lifeless body in the eagle's nest I cried for the entire day, I even cried today.  Now I know that you aren't just a person with a blog but a vital, living, breathing, person who's heart beats sending blood throbbing through your body in the sure hope and prayer of living tomorrow.  I love blogging, I love each and every one of you and I really, really care.    Diane

I love you too Diane, I thank God every day for my blog friends, pray for every one that is going through a difficult time, laugh and cry through your joys and sorrows. It's amazing that with a little computer, we touch eachothers lives in so many ways. I felt awful reading about Phoenix, it was so very sad. I didn't see the web cam, and now am glad I didn't. But it does put things into perspective doesn't it?
And on a lighter note, I LOVE your lamp!!

It's why I blog really. To get to "know" people, share their joy and sorrows, and be there for one another, even though we are not physically there... it's such a gift. And you, my friend, are a sweet gift as well. Blessings to you and your tender heart.

When my sister passed, I lost the one and only person in the world that could listen to whatever I was rambling on about. Cottage home decor, embroidery, tiny wildflowers, baby birds, and on and on. I miss her so much.

Blogging has connected me with so many wonderful, special people. I love you too, Diane.

Diane - It is because of people like you, Jayne, Betsy, and many others that I keep blogging. It is a great way to create a dimension of social support.

Dear Diane,
This such a sweet post and I'm so glad you wrote this. My computer will be down for awhile, and I am realizing today how much I'll miss it for just those reasons. People, like you, are so caring and willing to share their lives. And we need that. I looked you up because you seemed so very nice, and also you live in Idaho which is very near to me. You have the kindest essence coming through... I love everything about you. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a friend.

I'm sorry about the little eaglet. I know you are sad but that is a tribute to you. Take care of yourself. Thank you for sharing your life.
