Bees & Bee Balm

I love to watch the bees, especially these huge bumble bees, in the bee balm.  These big ones just crawl around and feast and crawl around on the flowers till the flower just falls apart.  I wish I could reach out my hand and stroke the velvety hairs - it's almost big enough to be a pet.        Diane

I love bumble bees Diane, they're much more docile than regular bees, and so pretty. We have hoards of them this year, those, moths, and beetles. Haven't seen but a couple butterflies though. Beautiful picture!

Did you see my blog for yesterday? I also posted some photos, and one is the same bee balm as yours with a bee! I know exactly what you mean about the flowers. They were so beautiful while they lasted. So enjoyable watching wildlife, even insects. Summertime. Isn't it wonderful!

Silly me. I thought Bee Balm only came in orangey-red. I love the color of yours, and of course, this happy little bee!
