Where This Blogger Creates

In a house as little as ours I consider myself so blessed to have an entire room of my own. It's my blogging, journaling, art, sewing, and creating room as well as bill paying room.  It's even easier to pay bills in here.  Above is my assistant, Rascal, who has his own little matching bed which he has to use to rest and think a lot.

The most fun of my room is being able to do it as inexpensively and yet as pretty and creative as I
can.  I guess you could say I'm a creative tightwad.
This is the sewing area and above it is an inspiration board which contains a metal lid which holds
some of my favorite business cards.
I found the little robin's egg blue stool at a used furniture store and for $14.00 I couldn't pass it up.
Most everything except the computer and printer were cheap, cheap.  I love to
find things or make them instead of buying new.
My workbench is a door and file cabinets from Habitat for Humanity ReStore for $20.00 all together.
My desk with holding the computer is one I brought home from our store and repainted.
I just couldn't not have it.

Thank you so much for visiting my space - it's been so much
fun participating in the Where Bloggers Create party.

Hey Diane! I love your creative space. It is sooooo organized and pretty. But I think you need to turn today's date upside down. The party is on the 19th. :) Your blog looks great too. So many changes. You've been busy. Best wishes always, Tammy

Good morning, Diane!
Love your "creative tightwad" space - as it is my philosophy as well. :)
Your inspiration board is gorgeous, and all your goodies are stored so neat and pretty. Thank you for letting us take a peek inside your creative world - it's lovely!
Enjoy the day, my friend!

Great space.

Oh Diane, I love seeing your 'creative space'.... It's MUCH neater and more organized than my so-called 'creative' space... Maybe that's why I'm not as creative as you are... ha ha

LOVE it---there's a spot for everything... Neat-Neat-neat..
Hugs,
Betsy

Diane I can't tell you how happy I am to catch a glimpse into the way you live. I LOVE to see how my dearest freinds live and enjoy their lives. Your creative space is just like you, lovely in every way. I LOVE your inspiration board. I have always wanted to create one of my own. I love to hear how you repurpose things. I love taking old and making them new again. Giving something a new purpose. I'm so glad that you joined in the fun, because it was such a joy to see how my Diane lives and creates.
I loved your bliss post! I can so relate! I haven't ever had the desire to have manicures...I would just be wasting my money.
hugs

Hey again Diane, I love yesterday's post with little Rascal peeping over the table. So sweet! I made peace with my dad not speaking to me a long time ago. It's a long story, but I know that it is all him (and his wife) and nothing to do with me. She is manipulating and controlling him and if that's the way he wants to live his life, then so be it. I did call him some months back, thinking enough was enough, but he is in a dark place and the things he was talking about, what he was saying, really turned me off. I realized he is not the person I used to know and I don't reall need or want him in my life at this point. There's a reason for everything. Hope you are having a super Sunday. Best wishes, Tammy

I love your inspiration board and what a sweet studio to create in. I too am a believer in using what you have or being frugal with decor, there are so many good cast off items that are still usable. You did a great job! Thank you for sharing.

The old sheet music makes such a pretty background! Great space. I love decorating on the cheap too. (I would probably like decorating on the 'expensive' if I had the cash, LOL)
Well, thanks for sharing your space!

Your space looks cozy and very functional. You have everything so organized. I love that you re-purpose things and don't have everything brand new and shiny. Your inspiration board is beautiful, and I'm sure your assistant helps at every opportunity!

LOL - Rascal looks all comfy cozy in his bed!

Love seeing you are an "optomistic romantic"! So cool that you concentrate on the joy (something I enjoy doing as well).

You are very clever with your great buys and making them work so well in your space. That blue desk is quite a find. :D
