A Little Tweaking

Summer's taking over the cottage.  All of a sudden there are flowers everywhere.  I've planted heliotrope by the door and pansies and whenever you walk in or out the smell is heavenly.  In this picture the wire is rather unattractive but to me it isn't.  It's electricity which Leonard hooked up for me.  I can have lamps and on chilly days it makes a warm (fake) fire in my fireplace.  So I love it.  He's been after me to repaint the cottage (so it will last longer) - I know he'd love to, I might just have him do it.  I'm thinking of a different color anyway, and different gingerbread.  I think my little cottage just loves to be tweaked.

I'm another one who loves your cottage, Diane. You're so lucky to have electricity to it - and an electric fire - luxury! I can just imagine you passing many sweet hours here.

It's lovely. Do you have grandchildren? I bet you can't keep them out of it when they visit you. What a wonderful place to play in.

I want some heliotrope. Albertson's, the old grocery store, had some once and it was the most divine fragrance ever. Is it difficult to keep going? Can it stand the heat? I haven't seen any here, just that once. Of course, I'm not a gardner so I haven't searched. Generally I bring something home in a little pot and hope it doesn't die. [I think I hear you laughing at me, right now.] I do have lots of roses outside, but they bite.
