Something New

We have a new addition to our backyard, a very welcome one at that. This morning we purchased and planted a Canadian Red Cherry tree. This is what our tree man advised. When we lost our big Flowering Crab we lost a focus in our small backyard. Now we'll have a beautiful little tree someday which will feed the birds, bloom, change a beautiful russet color in the fall and the leaves that won't be hard to clean up. Diane

What a nice addition to your place - and a little bit of Canada to remind you of your Canadian blogging friends!

Diane, I hope your Canadian tree does well, most trees are pretty hardy up here...... is the one that flowers each spring with the beautiful pink blooms? That would be perfect in front of your hideaway cottage!
Have a super great week, I have to go to Cuba for a week, my step daughter is getting married. It will be interesting to see what my Lupus does, I am going to hide in the hotel and stitch for a week....no sun for me. The rest will be good though.
Hugs,
