Gift

Several years ago we had to have our beautiful old flowering crab cut down before it fell down. I tend to get attached to things and felt so terrible about cutting down the tree. Today I took a picture of the sweet little pansy that decided to come up all by itself in a tiny little crack in the stump. It gives my heart joy - it's almost like the old tree is smiling at me. Oh this is lovely! I didn't realize that flowers would grow in a stump (I'm not much of a gardener) They certainly are beautiful!

What a wonderful photo Diane. I also marvel at how plants will find a way to bloom. A life lesson for us all. :c)

Reminds me of the saying: "Bloom where you are planted".... That is what we all need to do... That Pansy is your Flowering Crab smiling at you.... I think that is just so special.
Hugs,
Betsy
