Happy St. Patrick's Day to You

My Irish Grandpa with me in one arm and my sister, Jennie in the other.

It came too easy. A few years ago I was still on Ancestry.com and one evening after working on another member of the family I decided to look up and see how far back I could get with Grandpa. Jumping from one person to another within a very short period of time I had taken his roots back to Bantry Dermond O'Sullivan. Bantry died from a sword stabbing in 1549 in Donboy Castle in Ireland!

When winter comes I'll get back on the genealogy program and prove this out.

One way or another Grandpa was the link which bequeathed us with the Irish legacy. He always loved St. Patrick's day and always celebrated the day wearing a green ribbon pinned to his shirt. Diane

Diane,
Wow, that is so cool that you can go that far back, I find that so fascinating!!!! I can't trace my Mom's family because they took a fake name to escape the war...... so that is where the information ends.....
Thank you for your kind words and friendship, it means a lot to me, I am so happy I have such wonderful and dear friend!!!
Hugs,
Margaret
