Grandma's Hard Cat rises out of the ice.
I've had this cement cat figure for many years, I'm sure I found it at a garage sale. She has graced the front porch, back porch, patio, living room, she's followed me through several moves.
She was on the front porch when our grandson K.C. came one day. He was about 3 years old. He was discussing all the different things as he came into the house. "And that is Grandma's Hard Cat" he said. That's who she's been ever since. Diane

It's the phrase like that, usually from a little one, that goes down into family lore. I love it!
