Different Times

This is my husband when he didn't have use the oxygen every waking minute. He's happiest when he has some kind of project he's working on which he's doing here.

His good friend called the other day - he lives in Wisconsin now but before I met Leonard he and his friend really had a blast! They rode their dirt bikes up the mountains, drank beer, got in some pickles and just generally had a lot of fun. Sometimes they even worked together.

Now when they talk they compare their swollen legs and oxygen settings and what kind of medications they're on. How times do change!!

Leonard's got a nice half-smile.
It's good that he enjoys having a project - you'll have to keep on coming up with new ones for him....and make the most of every day together.

Isn't it just horrible to get old, Diane??? I hate to see older adults with all kinds of health problems. Luckily, George and I are fairly healthy right now --but who knows about tomorrow!!!!

Give that man of yours a big big hug!!!!

Hope you have a great weekend and week ahead. We are headed to Arkansas tomorrow.

Diane what a great picture of your husband. My husband was talking on the phone to his siter the other night and I had to laugh that all they had to talk about was their diabetes. They used to talk about their children, my how times do change.

Yes they do Diane, it gets hard at times to keep our heads up and our walk strong. But we keep on plugging away somehow, blessings to both of you,
