Winter Foraging

I'm thankful the animals are finding food in the middle of winter. This rabbit is in the south forty and I've seen it in the same exact spot for several days so it must be a good place to eat. The deer wander through every night, I know they're there because there tracks are everywhere. The birds find food in our yard and I know many people around town feed them, too. I pray for the creatures always. Diane

I feel the same way about the animals this time of year. To me they add such enjoyment to life, and I hate to think of them having to suffer.
Blessings, Laurie

Like you, Diane, I feel sorry for the poor little critters this time of year. I threw lots of nuts outside for them today... Squirrels and birds all enjoyed them...

Hugs,
Betsy

They always do seem to find something to eat, don't they? I often wonder how they survive the harsh winter.

The animals in our area are having a good winter this year - lots of leaves and greenery and berries and no real hard freeze yet.
Beautiful bunny - very Deurer-like!
