Waiting for Spring

It was such a nice day that I checked the cottage to see how it was faring through the winter. Inside birds are singing (more below)everywhere and flowers are blooming. The scent of roses reminds me that someday it will be spring again and that my little cottage will be a wonderful place to sit and watch the day from inside. Nothing's changed, it's still wonderful and cozy and on a day like this quite pleasant inside. But that's a long time yet before that will happen, we still have storms and a lot of cold weather to go through. But it's so comforting to see that my little cottage will be patiently waiting. Yes we are all waiting for spring, Diane. I'm sure you'll love getting back into your little cottage soon.

It's warmer here now--but raining tonight... This is the first rain we have had this year.

Love your springy pictures.
Hugs,
Betsy

I have been walking around the yard the past few days and thinking about the things that I want to plant and paint and dig and move and add to.. Trees to go here and bushes to go there.... then I had to go in and rest for Spring!

I love the idea of a cottage just for...........whatever you like. I thought I was getting one last year, but it turned out that The Great Dane was building another chicken coop. The latest shed is just that - a shed. Perhaps I'll have to show him your post about your pretty little cottage to get him started.

What a glorious place to sneak away to during these barren, cold months Diane!

Here's to Optimism!!! It's still January though, and I'm a realist. We have about 4 more months of living in a black and white world. Oh well, there's beauty there too. Love your flower pic's. xo bean
