Reminders of the Ocean

We are at least 800 miles in any direction from an ocean. You wouldn't think that I would even have seashells, would you? I do have some and love to decorate with them. At Christmas I put some of the little starfish among the snowbabies and they looked wonderful. Their beautiful neutral colors work well in almost any room. They remind me of the very few times I went to the ocean - the smell, the sound, the feeling, the water. It's kind of nice to think about when you're in a landlocked state like we are. Diane

Hi Diane
I'd be honoured to be added to your 'day brigheners'!
Treasures from the ocean are pretty special. The next time I'm on the water (tomorrow!) I'll send a thought your way - let me know if the Wyoming air has a salty tang for a minute or two.

Starfish are so pretty, maybe because you aren't close to the ocean, that's why you love them....
They just look so nice where ever you put them, I love shells and starfish in jars too.
I love the photo of all your journals!!! That looks awesome.
Hugs,
Margaret B

We are far from the ocean also, Diane, but I have two big glass bowls full of shells. I think all of us love seashells--and many of us decorate with them. I love your star fish. I don't have any of them--but I do have some sand dollars.

Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy

I loved hunting for shells on the beach in Oregon when my parents lived there a few years ago. I definitely love starfish the most.
I hope things are comfy in your part of the west.
