Confused

We have been fortunate enough to have Mourning Doves around our home for a long time. Today I noticed one which landed near me and it isn't a mourning dove but a Eurasian Collared Dove ... at least I think! It definitely has a collar in the back of it's head. If you look back at my mourning dove post there's a better picture. Now I'm wondering if I was wrong all along. And I hesitate to say exactly what it is because as you know I'm not an expert birder. But....... I know some people who are.......... Diane

Well--I love my backyard birds but I only know Mourning Doves (which we have). I have no idea about yours. I hope somebody can help you...
