Comfort

I'm giving the picture a rest today.

It's cold outside, threatening a storm and I just want to think about comfort.

COMFORT
This cozy afghan that I love to use
to cuddle up in the morning
with my coffee and the only
one I use when
I take a nap
A threadbare pink nightie
that's soft and comfortable
Not having to go outside
Having supper in the oven
so I don't have to stand over the stove
And of course
a good book or better yet
a stack of magazines and books
waiting to be read
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE COMFORT?

You know mine, Diane... It's my big fuzzy robe, my electric blanket and a big fire in the fireplace... I also love a big bowl of soup or chili on a cold night...

Stay warm!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

mmmmmm - that afghan is a beauty.
I love to cuddle up in the big red wing chair by the fire with a stack of magazines and books or a good needlework project and music on the CD player.
Diane - you made me laugh at myself....I read the comments on my blog from the last to the first, so I saw your comment 'Blog!!' and I thought you were exorting me to get busy and start to write! Then I read the comment above and understood. :)

Oh dear, I guess you just ned to give it time away, maybe the time off will rejuvenate you. I get too frustrated to do much with my pictures other then cropping!!
Looks like a nice warm blanket, I think that's what I may do, just curl up with my book and watch the snow fall!!!
Hugs,

Aren't afghans the best! I knitted one years ago and it is the only one I use to curl up with.
Have a great weekend Diane. (((Hugs)))

You hit it girl!!! Yours is just like mine. Except I do jammies instead of nighties. Now excuse me while I go crawl under that afgan.

It sounds very inviting. I like to curl up with daddy's old, fuzzy, wornout robe, my slick nylon nighty and read a good magazine.

Just about the same thing Diane, though mine is tan and cashmere!
