Best

I don't make new year's resolutions. I used to but too many times I broke them and then I felt like a miserable failure. One thing I do believe in is doing my very best, whether it's a conversation, a meal, an art project, driving down the street. Not just getting by but doing it in the most excellent way possible. I think there's a difference between perfectionism and excellence. Perfectionism is driving yourself crazy with details, excellence is the art and love of accomplishing something the very best way possible. Many times this doesn't happen but the main thing, I believe, is to keep trying. Diane

Wonderful comparison of Perfectionism and Excellence, Diane. I like the way you worded it... We all just need to do the VERY BEST we can every single day--and keep a joyful attitude while doing it. Some days, things work out better than other days---but all in all, if we do our best, that is what God expects from us. Thanks for another thought-provoking post.

Happy 2010..
Hugs,
Betsy

I like that description Diane. I'd like to think, like you, I like to do things in the very best way I can. I don't tend to get fixated on details, thankfully, but I do want to do things well. :c)

That is something my parents always told me....Just do your best. Wisdom from the Wise.

Giving what we have in our hands and trusting HIM to use what we have offered...... HE will perfect it.....

Doing our best is all HE asks...... There is only one perfect.....
