Snow

This cold spell that almost our entire country is experiencing has not brought a lot of snow here. A few inches maybe. It's been too cold to snow except to form dry crystals in the air which slowly builds up. It's more like salt than fluffy, powdery snow.

Remember big, fluffy drifts? Drifts that you could fall down in or roll all the way to the bottom of the hill and not get hurt. The way it used to snow here. Now we still get deep snow and I suppose I could fall down in it or roll all the way to the bottom of the hill but why would I? Now I'm and adult not a child. Snow isn't fun to play in anymore. Sigh.....Wouldn't it be fun though??

Diane, sometimes when I see the pretty stuff I think...hum...wouldn't it be fun to go sledding just one more time and then I imagine myself laying in a hospital bed in traction and I snap right out it.lol
Yes it has been miserable cold and I think at this point I would much prefer the snow. Even if it means getting the snow shovel back out.

Well I am an adult---but I'd surely play in the snow. But--I do know what you are talking about when you talk about that dry snow as opposed to the wet stuff which clings to everything, when the temps are not as cold. That's the kind I love. AND---if we ever get enough here, I'll make a snow angel just for you.... ha ha

Betsy

Hey Diane,

I haven't stopped by for awhile - looks like you are enjoying the season in style! Amanda had a party last night for some of her dog walking friends - she had made bowls for us to paint and also had a beautiful spread of food. Dogs were invited to the bash as well and everyone - two AND four legged had a wonderful time.
Hope you are doing well - have a great holiday season!
