Piecing Together the Past

Like the old red wreaths which my grandparents had this also isn't the real thing but in my mind it is.

There were a few Czechoslovachian ornaments on their tree and I found a couple of these at, what else, garage sales. They aren't in the best of shape, some of the mercury glass beads aren't intact but I'm so glad to have them. Whenever I look at them I'm reminded of joyful, sweet Christmases with my grandma and grandpa and how they made us feel so special.

How neat, Diane. I'm glad you found those ornaments... That way you have a piece of your grandparents with you EVERY Christmas. That is so special.

Your background is NOT jumping now. Yeah!!!!

I remember specifically a red cardinal my grandfather had on their tree which sang. We thought it was the coolest thing ever. Such good memories... ;c)

Diane, that is so special. The fact that the ornaments are not perfect doesn't take away from the 'perfect' memories in your heart.Enjoy them, the memories and the beautiful ornaments.
