Shhhh!

Well, you know how it is. It really is hard to keep a secret, especially when it's as delicious and juicy as this one.

Clearmont, Wyoming - Population 117 people at last count.

I had ridden down there (30 miles from Sheridan) with Leonard on a service call a while back.
In front of a two story old building which I'm sure was a main store in Clearmont at one time stood a simple sign. I had my own mental image of a lady with a few bolts of cloth behind a counter in a dimly lit interior but I had to use the bathroom and I thought she'd probably be nice and let me borrow hers.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are very few shops that literally take my breath away, this one did.

Bright, sunny and absolutely filled with every color and texture imaginable!

Today I went back to get pictures, met and chatted with the proprietress, Julie and was just as enchanted as the first time.

Every nook and cranny and available space is filled with something interesting and inspiring.
Floor cloths, aren't they pretty? She makes them. The link to the shop is http://www.thebestkeptsecret.com/ I quit quilting when I got so wrapped up in with everything else, but I may just have to start again just so I can go back and see her.
Diane
P. S. Even the bathroom is cute

Isn't this a cute little sunny spot?

Gosh Diane what a great shop. This would be such a nice surprise. I don't quilt, but I would love to put a few together with some of the fabric I have collected. I wouldn't mind shopping with you here to add to my collection. Wouldn't that be a blast?
Hugs,
June

I would never come out again!! This post has me drooling Diane, it's like my biggest dream! There's a victorian house near my brothers that I thought was the greatest, but this beats all! Maybe worth the trip to Wyoming?

What a fun place!! Indeed Diane, you need to get those hands busy just so you can go back and visit and spend time there. Heck, I don't even quilt and the thought of spending time there even makes me smile!
