End of November Creatures

I'll leave the explanation of what these two flickers were doing to some of you expert birders. There were several of them flying around and these two (sorry, a little hard to see) were making a racket and bowing to each other, maybe just one was bowing, I'm not sure.
Then there was this fat squirrel. A couple days ago just before I walked under the apple tree three apples fell and he was sitting up there watching me. Today, the same thing, coincidence? I don't think so. I think he was aiming for me but his timing was off.
The last day of November brings warnings of colder weather coming. We've been having such nice weather for this month but I'm still not ready for the bitter cold. Diane

Remember my post, Diane, of the two flickers up in the tree hollering at each other???? I thought it was a male/female situation---but found out it was TWO males (maybe fighting over a female)....

Have a great day tomorrow.
Hugs,
Betsy
