October Eves

"Listen! The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves,
We have had our summer evenings, now for October eves!"
Humbert Wolfe

Although we know that the old winter wolf is right around the corner bringing bone chilling cold and endless dark days, we somehow manage to overlook that. Autumn and October with cozy evenings, chili and cornbread suppers, a pile of good books and snuggly afghans lull us into fall without even knowing what hit us. Diane

Another beautiful post Diane, I totally agree. I love the change of the seasons, the contrast of each and the smells, sounds and sites. I can't imagine living anywhere else.

Ah Diane.... I can almost feel those cold breezes blowing up winter... BUT--I am not finished with Fall yet... Fall does seem to be a short season for some, doesn't it?

Love that sepia picture.. It's perfect for your words. Chili and cornbread sound good.

Thanks for your kind words. They mean alot to me.
Hugs,
Betsy
