Marianna

As you know we have wild turkeys that roam through our neighborhood and they loose their feathers occasionally and that brings me to Marianna........................ today I came upon her picking the last of the tomatoes after the storm...........with a turkey feather stuck in her ski cap! (I think she found the turkey feather as she was going to and fro and just stuck it up there to save it.)

Many of our neighbors are great people and highly individual. Marianna is no exception. If I didn't know better I would think she was from New England. She's a woman of few words and intense self sufficiency. I think she told me at last count that she was 87. She is no nonsense and very serious. So today when I saw her with the feather in her cap I had to ask her if I could take her picture. "Well, I don't know why you'd want it but go ahead if you won't break your camera!" I told her I just had to have that picture of her, it was wonderful!!

On another note, it doesn't show any snow in the picture because most of it melted off today, especially on the pavements. Diane

Thanks for sharing the neat photo of what must be a real neat person. I've been known to do things like that myself, however, no one captured it on film. L ~ P

She looks like a neat little lady, Diane. Isn't it fun to meet your neighbors??? I know a few of mine but not many. Everyone here seems to keep to themselves. IF they walk by, they speak (when we are working in the yard) --but most everyone (including us) are just busy with their own lives.

Hugs,
Betsy
