The fall aster was a very busy place today. The sun was warm and it was just alive with bees - and butterflies. My friend, the honey man, tells me that there isn't enough food for the bees this summer but you sure wouldn't have known it today. It looked like they were all finding lots.
I don't know the name of this butterfly, I only know I was tickled to be able to catch the sun shining through it's wings. Diane

What an awesome picture Diane, you caught that butterfly at the perfect time for a perfect picture. I hope the bees are doing ok, it's been so sad with the number of hives dieing out.
