Sounds in the Backyard

The best thing about feeding the birds is the sounds they bring to the yard and to the world. I thought this one was a warbler but in consulting my bird books I think he is an American Goldfinch. He's very pretty and seemed to know it. He was pretty much the ruler of the feeder. He didn't intimidate the chickadee however. Here he turned his back to me so I could really see that gorgeous yellow.

Don't you just love the little birds, Diane??? I could watch them all day long--and sometimes do...

My post tomorrow is some of the birds I saw today at my feeders.

Have a wonderful day. We're headed to Hendersonville to check on G's parents.
Hugs,
Betsy

It does seem to be a goldfinch Diane, some call them wild canaries. I just call them beautiful!
