Next Year - God Willing

The flowers are fading fast even though we haven't had a frost. I think next year I'm going to plant a LOT of zinnias. I have perennials and when they lose their blooms there's not much left so by this time of the year the gardens really look shabby. I've seen some kind of beautiful sage in yards here and there and I'm going to find out what that is and plant several of those next year. The bees love it. Zinnias and sage. Well, maybe a few sunflowers, too. Diane

I believe you are talking about russian sage. Yes, that and zinnias would be a wonderful choice. I like your picture-it's very refreshing. Love, P

Great ideas, Diane. We love some of our annuals too---like the Impatiens, which just bloom and bloom. Another one we like is Vinca. Funny how we all are looking to next year already!!!! ha

Have a great Sunday. Love your new photo (thumbnail)..
Hugs,
Betsy

I am thinking of a patch of wildflowers out by the tree line to give an unexpected splash of color out there among the trees! :c)

How true, everything I have is faded so quickly. Maybe I should try something that turns to fall colors, any ideas? My neighbor has nasturtiums that are fall colors and they are gorgeous right now.
