Last Two Days - Alaska

This is frustrating to me because these pictures are turned around. I'll do the best I can.
This is on the way back to get on the plane at about 5:30 in the morning I think. I couldn't hardly talk without crying (what a mess I am). It was just so hard to leave after having such a wonderful time and mostly just getting to spend such happy times with Amanda, Gregg and the dogs and cats. I was leaving behind so much laughter and joy but also knowing that I will be back. I know I will, I have to.
A red, red sun to see me off.
The night before. Amanda at the Alyeska Lodge.
This is where she took me to supper. Yes, clear up there. Yes, on the tram. After she encouraged and cajoled me I finally gave in. I'm afraid of heights but it was worth it. The restaurant was so elegant and beautiful and we had the most wonderful dinner. The name of it was Seven Glaciers and from the three glass sides you could see the seven. The time of leaving was drawing near. Hard to keep tears out of my eyes. On our way to Girdwood (then Anchorage). These are some fabulous sights on the Seward Highway.

Earlier that morning I had done some snooping in her cupboards. All her plates, bowls, etc. she made in her pottery shop. Beautiful, huh. And I get stuff. How great is that?
This is a teeny tiny little church near Kenai. It's so little it looks like it was made with matchsticks.
At her friend Ellen's house, down by the lake. If you enlarge it you'll see why I think it's so pretty.
Well, I'm kind of glad these pictures are bassackwards. Otherwise I'd be crying right now. Hope you've enjoyed my trip and I hope each one of you sometime in your life has the chance to go somewhere and enjoy it as much as I did. Diane
