Family

Among all of the wonderful experiences was belonging to the animal family for a while. Let me introduce you. The one close to me with my hand on him is Brutus. He's a gentle sweet soul and huge! He's found joy and love after Gregg rescued him on a lonely stretch of highway. He was the most awful mess, stinky, and in need of vet attention big time. After all of that was taken care of he emerged a gorgeous, loving creature. We think he'd been dumped for a bear to eat because he was so old. All he wants is to be loved.

At my feet the other black dog is Django. Django is a pound dog , lovely, sweet and is the first dog in the family of 4 cats. She acts to me like she's just trying to cooperate and be loved. And loved she is. She flies in the plane to wonderful places with the earphones on so she can be part of the conversation and is the matriarch of the dogs.

And then there's Guiness!!!!!!! He's the innocent looking little cherub. Don't be fooled. He has more personality in a whisker than some dogs have in their whole body. He spent the entire time I was there trying to steal something from me, anything, socks, bra, nighty, phone, paper, it didn't matter. I laughed more at this little imp than I have laughed in years. I wished that I could bring him home with me. He was the naughtiest dog I ever met..........and he found a sweet place in my heart forever.

Tomorrow..........the cats. Diane

I must admit, I am a sucker for the old grey faced kids. I had two go to the bridge last year who were 14 & 12 respectively. There is just something very special with the comfort of knowing each other's routines.

O.K. I HAVE to leave a comment.

Guinness misses you SO MUCH since you left. I ask "Where's Grandma?" and he scrambles to your room. Hoping to terrorize you. :(

They ALL miss you - as do I.

Love you, Bean

Hi There, We're home after a wonderful weekend in the gorgeous North Carolina mountains. I'll post in the morning.

Welcome Home. Looks like you had a fabulous time in Alaska. The scenery up there is fabulous.

Love your daughter's 'animals'... They really have a big group of them, don't they????

How did your little doggie do while you were gone???

Hope you had a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
