Treasures

Story is a small mountain community about 20 miles from here and today they had their town wide garage sale. My husband wanted to drive out there, it's been cold and rainy and even a little SNOWY but I went along, too. I thought I might get some pictures anyway. We didn't get there till around 10:30, very late for garages sales around here. I did manage to find a few items and only spent $15.00. The red and white fabric is a set of drapes I think I can make something out of, maybe the sanctuary/patio for next year. The little shoes must be from around the '50s and I'll use them in an art project. I got a sewing box for $3.00 and found 2 little antique thimbles and the little satin sewing bag in it. AND the mosaic pot for $3.00.

Always buy old sewing boxes, they yield wonderful old things. Diane

I love all the little treasures you find. You will have to show us what you make with the shoes!
Snow, they have had in Calgary this weekend as well, my son moved there and isn't used to that weather this time of the year. Crazy weather for June.
Have a great day Diane.

Jill.

Isn't it fun Diane to go through someone else's 'stuff' and find so many treasures?? I'll be anxious to see your finished products --when you put your creativity 'on'!!!!!! I'm impressed.
Hugs,
Betsy
