Fasten Your Seat Belt

Here we are on top of the mountain at Powder River Pass, 9,666 feet and beginning our descent.
Our ears have popped and everything sounds wierd.
We're almost at the canyon floor now, 4,426 feet. In 30 miles we have dropped 5,240 feet. You think that's a little dizzying, you should try it in the winter when the road is solid ice.

Now wasn't that fun??? Diane

Wow---thanks for taking us on that great ride. 9,666 feet???? Wooooo-that is high. And you dropped a huge amount in those 30 miles. I'd love to do that!!!!

Don't they close the roads in winter???? I cannot imagine driving it in the ice and snow.. Yipes!!!

Thanks for the great pictures, Diane.
Hugs,
Betsy
