Capturing the Color

I'm a relative newcomer to the digital camera world. So probably to some of you I'm in the dark ages yet.
It once was that when we were in the countryside or mountains I'd see a particularly pretty scene and try to duplicate it with my watercolors when I got home. Either that or take the picture with my regular camera and wait until the film was developed. Now it's entirely different. I love my digital camera. I can capture it immediately. And then I can bring it to you, exactly what I saw this afternoon.

We took a ride on a country road which took us nearer to the mountains. The depth of the snow was incredible. If you notice on the second picture, it completely covers the fence. Cows, deer, horses all walked slowly through it, to run would take too much energy. Deer ate on the tops of hills because the wind had blown the snow down some and they could get to the grass easier. It was an awesome and beautiful ride. I don't think I've ever seen the amount of snow that we saw today.
God bless you, Diane
P. S. Be sure and blow these up to see the detail.

Isn't digital just grand? We got our first nice camera in 2002. I can't imagine NOT having it now. :c) You captured some very beautiful images Diane. So serene and peaceful, though I do hope it will be the last one for your before the spring thaw.
