Cards

A friend of mine told me once "If you find a card and it makes you laugh, buy it". I take her advice. I buy them and hope to use it on just the right person. I love cards so when I receive one from somebody it either goes in my journals or in a beautiful old suitcase or here:
I'm sure you've probably seen this idea before but here's mine. I nailed an old shutter with peeling paint to the wall in a spot that's just the wrong size for anything else. Then I put cards in between the slats. Then I can look at them all the time, and I do. They just make me smile.

God bless you, Diane

I love cards also, Diane... I keep ours in a big notebook. I don't know who will ever want all of these cards --but they mean alot to George and me.

When George and I started dating, we were both working and didn't see each other as much as we wanted to. So--we started sending each other cards almost every single day. That was totally awesome.

Hugs,
Betsy

I love that idea, I have made the shutters for Christmas cards, with floral arrangements on them. I love your idea of white distressed and for cards and mail for everyday!! You are clever!! I just love how everyone has a different way of doing something! I notice on some blogs, I have the same thing as someone else but in a totally different decor!

What a great idea, so clever!! I save cards myself, but I think Mom has me beat! In the move, we found every card that was ever sent her. And she will keep every on! Boxes full, plus the cedar chest! That must be where I get it from!
