After the Storm/Or Before Another

These two Colorado blue spruce stand in front of our house. We planted them in 1987 and they grew way faster than we thought, they took over the front yard, but I love them anyway. This last blizzard loaded them down with tons of snow but what a wonderful snug retreat for the little birds. They can hop in under the snowy boughs and stay out of the wind and weather. God knew just what he was doing when He designed these trees. They hold the snow and form a shelter for the birds and you seldom see broken branches on a spruce, it just blows or slides off.
I got a book I ordered by Robin Brown, A Bit of Velvet and A Dash of Lace. I knew it would be fun and offbeat. As many of you have, I first saw her in Victoria magazine and I was hooked. I'm slowly savoring every page. I sure wish it would warm up so there will be garage sales. I'm ready to redo my house!!!
God bless you, Diane

The trees are so pretty with the snow on them. That is the kind of tree with snow that is just asking for a Cardinal to come by for a visit.
