Wind Dance

It was such a joy seeing these clothes fluttering in the wind yesterday. It reminded me how things change right before your eyes and you don't even know. How often do you see this anymore? Everybody, or so it seems, has a washer and dryer. I have a little line in the back yard and it's so nice to be able to hang out a quilt or some pretty lace to dry but laundry?

God bless you, Diane

Hi Diane, My mother always hung our clothes out on the line. I love smelling sheets and pillow cases after they have been dried outside on the line. There's just nothin' better.

In our community, there is a rule saying you cannot hang clothes outside. Bummer!!!! BUT--I use a rack inside and also have a line inside of my garage, to keep from using the dryer alot.

Thanks for a neat post.
Hugs,
Betsy

Diane, I love this post, my pal, Keri at A Country Life blog and I were emailing about this today! IMHO there is no sweeter scent than line dried laundry! Thanks for the gentle reminder, life can change within seconds.

My grandmother hung everything on the line when I was growing up. She had an old ringer washer, but no dryer. I remember seeing everything fluttering in the wind and smelling sheets baked in sunshine.
