Neutrals

This is my other side from color, soft creams, gentle browns, antique white, charcoal and even black, silver, lace, gold, wood. These colors to me are comforting and welcoming, at least in my home. I think this evolved from my house itself. Being a devoted follower of Country Living mag since it first came out, we moved in here with cream cans, wooden crates, etc. My house said, "Excuse me but I don't feel comfortable with this rustic stuff. I expect to be furnished with more elegance. The house is over 100 years old and I guess she(?) is entitled to having what she wants. So that's how I ended up with the things I do.

Since I live with a man once in a while we have strange additions, like jackets hanging on chairs, shoes hidden underneath the chairs, calenders hanging in unusual places ("so a man can see what the day is and doesn't have to hunt all over the place!") In my mind this has nothing do do with being comforting but it does to him, I guess.

God bless you, Diane

Our home is very neutral ---boring to some I think. Our walls are an off-white and our carpet is green. I'm not much of a decorator ---so we don't have alot of goodies and what-nots around. Like I said--it's neutral.

Love your old clock. I'm a clock person--so that caught my attention.
Hugs,
Betsy
