A Fine Day

In between threats of storms I made a quick trip to see my mother in the nursing home. The 36 mile trip today was very pleasant and the mountains were magnificent. Some days they are crystal clear and the blue color is dark and striking. Other days like today they were hazy but no less beautiful. Mother was doing well, her weight keeps going down but she still likes to do her beading. While I was there someone from the kitchen brought us both a small bowl of homemade ice cream. She is so spoiled there and I guess I am when I'm there, too.

On an unrelated note I wondered if anyone ever read the book by Laurel Lee, Walking Through the Fire or Signs of Spring, also by her.

God bless you, Diane

Glad you had a nice day, Diane. The mountains are gorgeous. Glad you found your Mom in good shape.. My sweet mama loved ice cream in her nursing home also.

The mountains are breathtaking Diane! It reminds of the picture my grandaughter painted for me. Beautiful! I never heard of this author. Are the books good? What does she write about?
Blessings,
Laurie

What a view Diane! It's breathtaking. So glad you got to see your sweet mom and that your time together was so special. I've not heard of that author, but I'll look her up on my Kindle. :c)

A thrilling mountainscape in an outstanding composition. I'm glad you had a rewarding visit with your mother. That's even bigger than a mountain.

Hello Diane! What a BEAUTIFUL photo! Oooh how I envy you that you get to see the beautiful mountains where you live. Living in Florida, it's flat as a pancake. I'd love to live somewhere that I could see lovely mountians like that in the distance. Thanks for sharing ~ xo Joy

Your view is breath taking....... There is just something about the mountains in the spring....... We live in the FLAT LANDS!! hahhahah

I so loved hearing about your visit to your little Mom...... I fear the day is rapidly approaching that my little Mom will need to be placed in a nursing home..... I am doing my best to keep that from happening but I think my efforts are waning!
