Creature in Trouble

On my walk with Rascal I noticed something not quite right. A bird feeder seemed to be swinging and there weren't any birds around. It was similar to this one, a little larger with plexaglass sides which met at the corners with metal on the corners almost covering the exact corner. It was in someone's yard and they were away. So being the law abiding person that I am I went inside the fence and checked it out. There was a squirrel inside the squirrel proof feeder!!! He was upright and of course terrified. I don't know how long he'd been in there. I opened the lid so he could run out. He couldn't. Upon further inspection I saw that his claw, was bleeding and was caught in the corner part where the plexaglass met. I came home and got my little manicure scissors and poked and prodded and somehow got it loose. He came flying out of there and took off like a shot. It was over so fast. Tonight I can rest easy knowing that this creature won't spend the night or die trapped in a feeder. I feel so good! God bless you, Diane
P. S. It wasn't this squirrel, I took this in our backyard. He'd been considering raiding my bird feeder.

Great job. I once had a bird get inside one of the tube feeders. We also found it before it died, got it out ok. You wonder what they thinking when they have to struggle to get in there.
