Bad Mannered Visitors
It was the first time I've seen these birds in our backyard. Kind of pretty I thought, their feathers a contrast against the white snow. A little later I looked out the back windows and they were hanging on the bird feeders, trying to see how many could get on at a time, quarreling, pecking each other, hogging the food. I soon started chasing them out of the yard. As soon as they'd leave the chickadees and the other little better mannered birds would fly back to the feeders. But now they know where we live......................
God bless you, Diane

I chase those darn starlings off too.. they chase off my sweet birds with their BAD manners and eat my crab apples, that I say are for
Cedar Wax Wings and Robins only.
LOL
Love your pics.. Deena
Oh Diane, I'm sorry you have Starlings. They are pretty--but not very nice!!! I had them for about 2 days and then luckily, they left. Hope yours leave also. You may need to take your feeders inside for a few days.
Hugs,
Betsy
Ugh... starlings. Backyard birding menace. Too numerous, too greedy, too piggish. Run them off as much as you can.
The Starlings have found you. Oh, oh.
