My Day

Today I drove to Buffalo, 36 miles away(on I90) to see my mother. Another storm is predicted so I wanted to slip down and see her before it hits. I ended up in awful wind that tossed my little car around like it was a kite. Rascal was with me and he sensed something was wrong because he cuddled up next to me and didn't make a peep. We made it and we made it back home.
It was nice to see her and I know it makes her feel so good to have me come over. She's so tickled that Rascal likes her, too. She's 84 and very frail but still very bright and has a good memory. The care center where she is is so good. She's in the best hands. It's a great relief.
On the way home I saw several eagles, some along the road, some up above sailing in the wind. Now that I'm home safely I can say it was a good trip. God bless you, Diane

Glad you made it there and back home safely, Diane. It's not fun to drive when the winds are so strong.

Your mother is so pretty. I can see a resemblance between the two of you. My mother lived 'til she was 91 --and was in a retirement facility (skilled nursing area at the end). She also had a good mind until the end (when she lost her short-term memory). She was a sweetie and I miss her. Glad you got to spend some time with your mother.

Hugs,
Betsy

I'm glad you finally got to go Diane, and to have a traveling companion makes it an easier trip. Your mom is still very pretty. And yes, you can see the resemblence between you and her!
Blessings,
Laurie

I saw the resemblance as well. It is a beautiful photo of your Mom. So glad that you were able to make the trip before another storm. I hope it isn't as bad as the last one.
Hugs
Jill.
